Movies, TV...General Goof-Off Stuff

It's Friday, and I have a classic case of the goof-offs. Meaning I want to do nothing but do nothing in particular today. So that means I'm blogging about something NOT design related, because, well, I don't feel like looking at PS right now, and I don't feel like blogging about anything remotely created to PS either! :-p

What I AM excited about is that a certain movie that I've been waiting 3 LONG YEARS for, is only 7 days away from release day! WOO!

Oh yes, I'm nearly fanatical about the Bourne movies! And hey, I love me some Matt Damon too. Funny thing is that I liked Matt Damon before the Bourne movies, but when I saw the Bourne Identity, my buddy Matt moved right up into my top five list of hot actors. I think this is for 3 reasons:
1) He seems, at least in my opinion, to get better looking as he gets older.
2) As he does get older, I've started to notice that there is definitely a resemblance between him and my Hubby (I've had other people out of the blue tell me, "your husband looks like Matt Damon." How lucky am I?!?!) .
3) There is just something really sexy about a guy who kicks some major butt, but in a very intelligent sort of way. And Matt Damon does a whole lot of that in these movies. Hey, I admit it, I'm kinda (ok, more than kinda) into guys who can take care of business with some hand-to-hand combat...come on, I married a Marine...obviously I like to feel that a guy can kick some butt if he needs to. I'm so not into those wimpy guys. (Just for the record, this doesn't mean I like guys who LOOK for fights. That, in my book, is a huge turnoff. I'm talking about the guys who will try to stop a situation from escalating to a fight, but if it does happen, they can more than handle their own.)

And since I'm on the topic of actors that I'm excited to see back in the mix, I can't neglect to mention that Kevin McKidd will be in a new show on NBC this September called Journeyman. If you have no idea who Kevin McKidd is....you have my sympathy. He played the character Lucius Vorenus on HBO's series Rome (which they *sob* stopped making after season 2). There is nothing extraordinarily handsome about him, but he has a way about him that I really dig. And if you haven't seen Rome--run--don't walk--RUN to blockbuster and rent it. Season 1 has been out on DVD for a while, season 2 will be coming very soon. It has to be, by far the most fantastic show I've ever watched. I'm still unbelievably sad that they stopped making it (stupid, I know, that I'm upset about a TV show). Unfortunately the show didn't hook the number of viewers HBO hoped for, and they spent OODLES of money to produce it. And that was part of what made the show so great. HBO dumped so much money into the sets, costuming....they filmed in Italy....and it was all backed by a story that just sucked you in and didn't let you go.

We don't watch a lot of network TV around here. The shows have to be exceptional in order for us to watch "regular" TV. Otherwise, we stick to HBO series. Rome is gone, Sopranos (which we followed to the end) is gone. That leaves me with Big Love (which still has me waiting to be hooked like I was with Season 1....I'm waiting ever so patiently and hoping that the episodes that are sitting in my DVR are better than the first few), a new one that I look forward to: Flight of the Conchords (totally quirky, odd, and I'm crazy about it!) and then of course, ENTOURAGE!  I just can't get enough of Jeremy Piven as Ari Gold. LOL Just thinking about him makes me laugh.

Well, you see? Do you see how distracted I am today? Yep, I've been like this since I woke up. Now I'm off to do more useless stuff.....and COMPLETELY enjoy my Friday! I don't usually take many days like this where I don't work at lease a little.

Have a great weekend! Cheers!

OMG girl! You were way distracted today! LOL! (It is so nice to be like that some times, isn't? It kindo of clears your head.) Besides, life is not all about PS and digi scrapn', even though most of time that's all that's on our minds... :) Matt Damon hah? Now, I agree, he is a hottie! Although, I'm not familiar with a whole lot of his movies. (Or the one you referred to in your post.) I'm not a t.v. kind of gal. If I watch t.v. it's usually Law & Order, CSI or something like that. Oh, and the news... I like to know what's going on in this world of ours... Otherwise, I typically don't watch much t.v. Although, Matt I would watch!!! :)

I am also a HUGE Bourne fan, Sherrie! Yay, so great to meet another one. I have been waiting forever for this movie, too and it has to come out the same summer as Harry Potter 5 (my other movie obbession). I have been meaning to read the Bourne books, too. I will probably do so in the next couple of months. Anyway, we will have to discuss the movies after it comes out. :)
